TikTok Introduces Parental Control

According to the official statement posted on their website, the Tiktok management has introduced a ‘Family Safety Mode’. To use this feature, Parents should first create their own account on Tiktok and then link it to their children’s. This parental control has been introduced for the wellbeing of the community, the statement said.

As part of our commitment to safety, the wellbeing of our users is incredibly important to us. We want people to have fun on TikTok, but it’s also important for our community to look after their wellbeing which means having a healthy relationship with online apps and services.

The China based social media platform is extremely popular especially among the youth. Tiktok has been downloaded by almost 1.5 billion people worldwide.
